Abstract
PURPOSE:To enhance the utilization efficiency of heated steam by a method wherein the change of the amount of non-condensable gas is met by the extractive capacity selectively combined with a plurality of gas extractors, each of which has differet extractive capacity, in the gas extracting equipment for a geothermal power plant. CONSTITUTION:Steam from steam well is led through a main steam pipe 1 to a turbine 2 in order to put a generator G to work and, after that, discharged to a condenser 3 in order to be condensed into water by exchanging its heat with water. The non-condensable gas in said steam and the air leaked into the condenser 3 is discharged to open air successively through an extracting pipe 4, a group of the gas extractors 5, an intemediate cooler 9, a gas extracting pipe 6 and a group of the gas extractors 7. The groups of the gas extractors 5 and 7 are respectively composed of the extracors a, b and c, which have stepwisely different extractive capacities. The extractive capacities can be nearly continuously changed by properly combining these extractors 5a, 5b, 5c, 7a, 7b and 7c.
