Abstract

PURPOSE:To hold the core so as not to be separated from the work until processing completion or not to be tilted in such a way that a bridging device by which a core to be cut and removed from the work is engaged with the work is inserted to the captioned equipment for cutting and processing the work to be as per the contour line shape. CONSTITUTION:A work 16 is fitted on XY table 10, and wire cut electric discharge cutting is performed by means of a wire electrode 18. This processing is done in such a way that a numerical controller 32 controls XY table 10 and a bridging device 42 on a basis of a tape 34 in which processing information and bridging command information are contained. The bridging device 42 continues to fit a bridging member 44 so that the work 16 and a core 38 are set to stand astride the moving locus of the wire 18, namely a processing groove 36. Since the bridging member 44 fixes the work 16 and the core 38 by means of binder, etc., it can prevent short-circuiting in contact with the wire 18 due to tilting of the core 38 or another cause.
