Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the engine speed from being raised to an overspeed range, by connecting a constant-voltage, time-constant circuit constituted by a parallel circuit of an auxiliary capacitor, a resistor and diodes between the gate and the cathode of an auxiliary thyristor in a voltage dividing circuit connected to the output terminal of a magneto generator. CONSTITUTION:A negative voltage dividing circuit 19 having a voltage dividing resistor 20 and an auxiliary thyristor 21 connected in series to each other is connected to the output terminal of a magneto generator 1, and a constant-voltage, time constant circuit 22 including an auxiliary capacitor 26, a resistor 27 and a plurality of diodes 23, 24, 25 connected in parallel to each other, which is adapted for energizing the thyristor 21 in response to a positive voltage V1 of the generator 1 and keeping the thyristor 21 in its energized state continuously for a predetermined while, is connected between the gate and the cathode of the thyristor 21. With such an arrangement, when the engine speed exceeds of reference value up to an overspeed region, the reference value of the engine speed can be determined by the resistor 27. Further, by varying the voltage dividing resistor 20, the range Q2-Q1 of ignition timing delaying angle is determined. Further, by approaching the value of resistor 20 to zero, a negative voltage V2 of the generator 1 is short-circuited, so that the engine is disabled to ignite.
