Abstract
A device for reducing the ignition advance when pinking appears comprises means for detecting pinking, means for generating a first voltage whenever the number of occurrences of pinking reaches a predetermined count, means for generating a second voltage which varies in the opposite sense to the first voltage and is of opposite sign thereto when the number of ignitions reaches a preset count, means for algebraically adding said voltages and generating a resultant voltage and means actuated by said resultant voltage to shunt the ignition signal such that the ignition advance is reduced.
