Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent unusual rise in temperature within the cover by ventilating within the cover giving a function of fan to rotary parts themselves of power transmitting system within front cover. CONSTITUTION:The whole power transmitting system composed of crank pulley 7, cam pulley 9, timing belt 10, idler pulley 12, etc. are covered with front cover 3. Ventilation port 21 is formed on the front cover 3 simultaneously with giving a function of fan to idler pulley 12 in a form of fin 20. The open air is led in from the lower opened edge 3a of cover 3 making idler pulley 12 function as a fan at the rotation time of engine to exhaust from exhaust port 21. Thus unusual rise in temperature within the cover 3 can be prevented so that power transmitting system parts may be protected from heat influence to lead to their higher durability.
