Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent degradation of battery performance due to high temperature air by arranging partition boards in an engine room and forming a box type battery containing chamber, then providing a cover, an intake port and a discharge port therefor. CONSTITUTION:Partition boards 15 are fixed to the circumferential walls 11, 12 of an engine room so as to form a battery 21 containing chamber 16. A seal member 15g contactable with a hood side reinforcing member 20a upon closure of hood is mounted on the upper edge portion 15f of the partition boards 15. Consequently, the hood 20 functions as a cover for the containing chamber 16. An opening 12a is made through the circumferential wall 12 such that an inlet port 16a is formed when a head lamp is fixed. An opening for leuver is formed through the circumferential wall 11 such that a discharge port 16b is formed. Since ventilation of the containing chamber 16 is improved and influence of hot air fed from the engine room can be prevented, the battery performance can be maintained well.
