Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the reliability of press coating in a press-coated terminal press coating device in the following step, by automatically monitoring the state of exfoliation of coating by means of a binary signal based on the detection of a wire and an exfoliated core part through the intermediary of a plurality of image sensors. CONSTITUTION:The outside diameter of coating of a wire 13 and the outside diameter of the core part 12 thereof are inputted in semiconductor image sensors 16a and 16b through lenses 15a and 15b, respectively, and the longitudinal positional slippage of the wire 13 is detected by a lens 15c and a semiconductor image sensor 16c. Detection analog outputs obtained by these sensors 16a-16c, or the like, are transformed into a binary signal of 0 and 1 by a binary-coded level adjustor 17 which is controlled by a controller 18 in accordance with stains on the sensors, lenses, etc. Drops of coating, positional slippage of exfoliation and the like are monitored automatically and accurately based on the decision of the binary signal, and thus the reliability of press coating in a press- coated terminal press coating device in the following step can be improved.
