Abstract
PURPOSE:To travel a attended running body along a specified track by running while the running body is steering along a guide line on a road surface by a pair of sensors which are laterally and movably mounted in both sides at the far end of the running object. CONSTITUTION:A running body is provided with a pair of lateral steering wheels 4A and 4B and a steering mechanism 4, a pair of driving wheels 5A, 5B for running and a driving mechanism 5 for revolving. The running body 1 is remotely controlled by wire and radio. In addition, while detecting a guide line laid in advance on the road surface by a sensors 7A and 7B fixed at the far ends of a pair of arms which are mounted laterally and movably on the running body 1, it steers itself so that the output difference between both sensors may becomes zero. With this, unattended running is performed along a specified track. When an ITV, a thermometer, or the like are mounted on it, this process is most suitable for measuring or monitoring an area which is difficult to approach.
