Abstract
PURPOSE:To detect a minute amount of movement from a home position, by providing an image sensor which detects reflected light projected to a mirror with a slope fixed to a mobile body and a stopper which determines the origin of the mobile body. CONSTITUTION:A pallet fed to a constant position (mobile body) 2 on a guide rail 1 is lifted with an elevating device 3, stopped at the origin with a stopper 7, and rays from a light source 5 is reflected on a mirror 4 provided to the rear side of the pallet 2 and are incident on a point (f) on an image sensor 8. The point (f) is stored as the origin with a microcomputer of a position detecting section 9. The pallet 2 is dropped and reflected light is made incident to points (e,...), (d,...) on the image sensor 8. These points are sequentially stored and the amount of minute movement from the origin of the pallet 2 can be calculated from the difference from the point (f).
