Abstract

PURPOSE: To detect position of a car always securely, while preventing collision of cars in a garage, by automatically detecting and noticing the stopping position in a garage by means of a color sensor.
CONSTITUTION: A color band 2 is provided in the widthwise direction, on a floor surface 1 corresponding to the rear part lower position of a car body 7 in a garage, and a car body position detector 12 is provided in the rear part lower position of the car body 7. The detector 12 consists of a light source 3, and a color sensor 4. The light source 3 is made of light emitting devices, and is caused to flicker by the output of an oscillating circuit 13, and the effects of ambient light may be removed by a signal processing circuit 5. The light is projected from a window 14 in the lower position of the car body 7 in the direction of the floor surface 1. The light from the light source 3 is reflected by the floor surface 1, and is input again into the sensor 4 from the window 14. By appropriate signal processing of the output from a photo diode constituting the sensor 4, the color may be detected.
