Abstract
PURPOSE:To facilitate production of a shift fork for a speed change gear with high accuracy and with an inexpensive material, by providing a shift rod loading part, a fork part and an arm part which connects these loading part and the fork part and forming these parts in a body from a sheet metal. CONSTITUTION:A sheet fork A is produced from a sheet metal and contains a shift rod loading part A1 having a rod inserting barrel 12 at the center part, a forked shift rod loading part A1, a forked part A3 and an arm part A3 connectiing the parts A1 and A2. The height H of the barrel 12 is set several times as much as the thickness of the sheet metal. Thus it is possible to form an inserting hole 13 of a set pin to pierce through the barrel 12 and a shift rod when the shift rod is inserted. Furthermore, the barrel 12 has no deformation when the shift rod works along its axial line to change the speed. Thus the fork A can always maintain a correct position to the shift rod.
