Abstract

PURPOSE:To command the rear sight when moving an automobile backward, by fitting a rear confirming mirror which is movable into the sight of a driver. CONSTITUTION:A chamber 3 for accommodating rear confirming mirror 2 is made in the rear 1 of an automobile. One end of a member 4 to which the mirror 2 is mounted is interlocked with a control device B which can shift the mirror 2 from the chamber 3 to a position which is predetermined or selected by a driver. For example, the control device is interlocked with the change lever control, and when the automobile is put into the reverse gear, the mirror 2 is shifted together with the member 4 into the driver's sight, which allows the driver to look at the area immediate below the rear body and rearward.
