Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate an easy operation of a robot regardless of the complicated contents of the working, by operating a control robot to the stereoscopic imaginary image of the working subject by means of a stereoscopic mirror and moving a working robot in response to the operation of the control robot. CONSTITUTION:A working robot 12 which performs the working to a working subject 11 follows the same working as that of a control robot 14 which is operated by an operator 13. The industrial TV cameras 16 and 17 which obtain the image of the subject 11 respectively are set in parallel to each other so that the space between the optical axes of the image pickup lenses of the cameras 16 and 17 is equal to the space between the pupils of the operator 13. Then the cameras 16 and 17 are moved in a body by a moving device 18 and along the subject 11. The images of these cameras are displayed on a stereoscopic mirror 19, and the image of the subject 11 is observed via the mirror 19. As a result, the operator 13 is confused in thinking that he gives the working to a stereoscopic imaginary image 20 of the subject 11 by means of the robot 14. In such way, a dummy is not required for an imitative operation, and the working is ensured with high accuracy regardless of the complicated contents of the working.
