Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent bubbles from occurring in a pipe and obtain a complete siphon state in a short time by cutting out the curved section of a siphon pipe upstream the outlet where the break away of the flow occurs and by opening the upper section of the curved section into a channel or a water tank. CONSTITUTION:In a siphon pipe C constituted with a rising section 2 provided at the discharge side of a pump, a hill-shaped section 3 provided downstream the rising section 2, and a lowering section 4, the curved section upstream the outlet 11 where the break away of the flow occurs is cut out, and the upper section of the curved section is opened into a channel or a water tank. Therefore, during operations bubbles in the siphon pipe C are discharged into a channel or a water tank without being flown backward in the siphon pipe C due to the break away or concentration because the upper section of the lowering section 4 of the siphon C is connected to the side wall face 12a of a channel or a water tank in an inclined state. Accordingly, a complete siphon state can be obtained in a very short time.
