Abstract

PURPOSE: To effectively remove gas dissolved in seal oil by dividing a degassing tank into several sections along the flow of solution in a compressor by which impurity gas, e.g., H2S, etc., present in hydrogen, methane, etc., is compessed.
CONSTITUTION: An oil to be degassed flows through the first degassing chamber 12, the second degassing chamber 13, the third degassing chamber 14, and a defoaming chamber 2 from the oil pathway 11 of a partition plate 10 and then is taken out of an oil discharge pipe 5. At this time, the concentration of dissolved gas is lowered in the order to the first degassing chamber, the second degassing chamber and the third degassing chamber. Thus, because the first and second degassing chambers 12 and 13 can be operated under a condition that the concentration of dissolved gas is higher than the allowable concentration of remaining dissolved gas at the outlet of the oil discharge pipe 5, the dissolved gas can be removed with good efficiency.
