Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a pallet loading apparatus which can be simplified in structure by providing a holder for clamping an article at both sides thereof and supporting the article from the bottom of another side which can horizontally move on an elevator elevating along a fixed support. CONSTITUTION:One row of articles B are aligned on a carry-in conveyer 50. An elevator 4 is lowered along a fixed support 2 by an elevating mechanism. Clamping members 22 are located on front and rear both sides of the articles B, and supporters 23 are located on another side of the articles B. Subsequently, the clamping members 22 are closed by operation of a cylinder 33 to clamp the articles B in front and in rear thereof, and the operation of a cylinder 48 forces the supporters 23 to support the lower corner portions of the articles B. The elevator 4 is raised, and a holder 20 is inclined by operation of a rotary actuator 26. A transverse 15 is horizontally moved along the elevator 4 to transport the articles to a predetermined position. Thus, the apparatus can be simplified in structure.
