Abstract
PURPOSE: To perform uniform pinch holding, by making films of air ejected from small holes of push plates between belts and the push plates for pushing the back sides of the belts for pinch-holding piled articles supplied.
CONSTITUTION: The piled articles G supplied by an introducing conveyor 1 are moved and stopped in the center of the depalletizer by an unloading conveyor 2. Then, the articles are lifted by a comb-like plate 3a of a lifter 3 and stopped at an upper limit. The articles are pinch-held by cylinders 49 of pinch holders 4 throgh the push plates 4. Air is ejected from the small holes of the push plates 46, thereby making air films between the belts 45 and the push plates. When the top of the lowest article reaches the bottoms of the push plates 46 by moving the belts 45 and the comb-like plate 3a, the belts 45 stops and only the lowest article is transferred onto the unloading conveyor 2 and conveyed to the next process. Such operations are repeated to automatically convey the piled articles. Therefore, the abrasion of the belts is prevented and uniform holding is performed
