Abstract
PURPOSE: To separate frames and rodlike products from each other sequentially from the lowest frame upwards and automatically transfer the products onto a separate conveyor, by providing a frame supporting stopper movable in and out and a vertically moving carrier under a retainer which is moved while the frames loaded with the rodlike products remain stacked on the retainer.
CONSTITUTION: Frames 11, on which rodlike products such as coated electrodes are laid, are stacked and held on a retainer. The frames are conveyed to a frame pick-out position. When a vertically moving carrier 27 provided in the pick-out position is elevated and receives the stacked frames 11, a stopper is inserted in between the lowest and the second lowest frames 11. When the carrier 27 is moved down, the rodlike product on the lowest frame 11 is transferred onto a conveyor 26 and the frame is transferred onto another conveyor 30. After the carrier 27 is elevated again into contact with the bottom of the stacked frames 11, the stopper 24 is retracted. After that, the carrier 27 is moved down by the thickness of one frame. The stopper 24 is then protruded. The lowest frame 11 is thus sequentially separated.
