Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain an oxide layer having a large heating area and superior wetness to a liq. on the surface of an Al material by adding silicic acid, silicate or silica sol to an ordinary treating soln. used to anodically oxidize the Al material.
CONSTITUTION: To an ordinary treating soln. (sulfuric acid or oxalic acid) for anodic oxidation is added silicic acid, silicate or silica sol. An Al material is put in the treating soln. and anodically oxidized at about 100A/m2 current density for about 60min. The oxidized Al material has a roughened surface, a large heating area and a small contact angle. Accordingly, superior wetness is obtd.
