Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide an anode member by which current outflow is controlled in secondary electrocoloring of A to prevent uneven coloring, by heat treating a member made of Zr or its alloy in an oxidizing atmosphere at a predetermined temp.
CONSTITUTION: An anode member made of Zr alloy such as zircaloy or Zr, most suitably zircaloy is heat treated in an oxidizing atmosphere such as air or oxygen stream at 200W850°C to form a dense oxide film on the surface. The resulting anode member has characteristics equal or superior to an Al anode member in secondary electrocoloring of Al products, and the member elongates its life.
