Abstract
PURPOSE: To efficiently reduce SO2 in an SO2-contg. gas admixed with a reducing gas by reducing the gas using a TiO2-base catalyst contg. Mo, Ni and Co.
CONSTITUTION: An SO2-contg. gas to which a reducing gas such as H2 or CO has been added is allowed to contact to a catalyst consisting of 70W96wt% TiO2 having ≥1m2/g specific surface area, 3W20wt% (as oxide) Mo and 1W10wt% (as oxide) Ni and/or Co at 150W500°C to reduce the SO2.
