Abstract

PURPOSE: To form a superior heating surface by anodically oxidizing an Al material and chemically treating it with a specified treating soln.
CONSTITUTION: An Al material is anodically oxidized in an aqueous soln. contg. sulfuric acid, oxalic acid, phosphoric acid or the like and sealed with pressurized steam or boiling water. Next, the material is chemically treated with a treating soln. of 6W12pH contg. silicate such as sodium silicate or potassium silicate at 0.0005W1.0mol/l concn., tannic acid or its salt at 0.001W1.0mol/l concn. or silica sol at 0.0001W40% concn. as SiO2 for 1W60min to form a heating surface film with superior characteristics.
