PURPOSE:To make a memory flexible, by providing one external storage device, which respective function modules access commonly, to connect directly a private bus and the external storage device for memory extension of each module. CONSTITUTION:A direct memory access controller 17 and a bidirectional tristate bus driver 19 are provided on a private bus 15 of each function module, and a common external storage device 21 consisting of a multiplexer 20, an input// output interface 14, a microprocessor 11, and an external memory part 22 is provided outside function modules. Table memories and data memories beyond storage or processing capabilities of memory areas 12 and 13 of respective function modules 18 are stored preliminarily for every module in the external memory part 22 of the external storage device 21, and data is inputted and outputted by the request of respective function modules.
