Abstract
PURPOSE: To enhance flow-frictional action of powder and to improve sintering effect by forming unevennesses on walls of sintering chamber of mold or the like, or pressure punch surfaces, or the like.
CONSTITUTION: In the central part of a mold 1, a curved sintering surface is provided, and, on the surfaces of upper and lower pressing strokes for powder, plural rugged parts 1b, 1c are formed. On the side faces of upper- and lower punch 2, 3, rugged parts 2a, 3a are also formed. Powder 4 to be sintered, which is supplied into a sintering chamber, is agitated and mixed sufficiently through each rugged parts 1b, 1c, 2a, 2b, and is pressurized and flowed when it is flowed by pressing through the punch. Further, the surface of the powder 4 is cleansed and activated by enhanced frictional action between it an rugged walls, and it is compressed as it is producing frictional heat. And, interposing a heat resisting powder 8 such as BN, SiC or TaC on the wall of the mold 1, filling the powder 4 into it, and sintering the powder 4, then a flow pressure is allowed to act sufficiently, and a sintered density is improved, thereby, a high sintering effect is obtained.
