Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a recording method having both advantages of an electrostatic recording method and a heat-sensitive recording method, by heating imagewise by a thermal-head after overall charging on a dielectric layer of an electrostatic recording material and appearing images with an inverting development. CONSTITUTION:A dielectric layer 2 of an electrostatic recording paper 1 is applied with about 4-8KV voltage by a charger 3 and is charged in (+) or (-) overall. About 100-600V charge in same polarity is applied on the paper 1 and by conducting electricity to a thermal-head 4, the charge is eliminated imagewise owing to the generation of heat. When a latent image eliminated imagewise is inverting-developed with a toner in an inverse polarity by a developing device 5, a copy 6 which is the same as an original, is obtained. By this way, a recording method having many advantages of good image resolution and shelf stability, an inexpensiveness of a heat-sensitive recording device and easy halftoning etc. is obtained.
