Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a power method circuit for phase difference which can be utilized effectively for the phi-cosphi conversion, etc., of a power factor transducer, by providing plural lines of multiplying circuits each consisting of a switch circuit controlled by the output of a phase discriminating circuit and an averaging circuit. CONSTITUTION:Inputs to input terminals 1 and 2 are inputted through comparators 11 and 12 to a phase discriminating circuit 13, whose exclusive OR output is applied to control terminals of switches S1-S4. When the phase discrimination output is at a high level, the switches S1-S4 turn on to allow a reference DC voltage Ez and outputs of averaging circuits A1-A3 to pass through them respectively, and the circuits A1-A3 remove AC components. Consequently, DC voltage proportional to phase differences phi, phi<2>, phi<3> and phi<4>, namely, outputs proportional to power method of the phase differences appear at terminals, 21-24.
