Abstract

PURPOSE: To remove aluminum ions in the polymer latex bath, and to maintain the bath under a stable condition at all times by treating the polymer latex bath with cation exchange resin in the immersing coating of an aluminum product.
CONSTITUTION: The aluminum product with surface structure oxidation-treated at an anode and brought to an active condition is immersed in polymer latex, which has polymer particles charged to negative and pH thereof is adjusted to 3.0 or lower, and a film is formed. When aluminum oxide dissolves and the aluminum ions liquate out and store in the polymer latex bath in this continuous coating, the polymer latex is passed through an ion exchange column filled with strong acidic or weak acidic cation exchange resin and treated, and the aluminum ions liquating out and storing in the bath are removed, thus adjusting the polymer latex to a condition that can form the stable uniform film.
