Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide a lithium battery capable of being charged and discharged at high energy density, by using a complex having two ligands of 1-phenyl-1,3- butanedione, as the anode active material of the battery. CONSTITUTION:A complex having two ligands of 1-phenyl-1,3-butanedione is used as the anode active material of a battery. Lithium is used as the cathode active material f the battery. Its electrolyte is chemically stable to the anode active material and the lithium. The lithium ions of the battery perform movement for electrochemical reaction with the anode active material. The structure of the anode active material, which is the complex having two ligands of 1-phenyl-1,3- butanedione, is shown by a formulaI.
