Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a molding jig inflicting no damage on a mesh under a production method of a dome-like mesh electrode arranged in a CRT for an oscillograph. CONSTITUTION:A molding jig 14 is made of a nickel chrome alloy, e.g., stainless in a predetermined shape, and an oxidized film such as chrome oxide is formed on its surface. The mold releasing oxidized film is thus existing all over the surface of the molding jig contacting a mesh 11 in a different way from the past that the jig had been used as it was, and the mesh keeps smooth contacts with the jig having no reactions while it is pressed by the jig under heat and pressure in a high temperature atmosphere, is bent extending in a predetermined dome shape, and is separated from the jig, so, the jig can be easily separated, thereby the mesh is rarely broken and the successful product ratio has been improved remarkably. As a result of forming the contacted surface of the mesh into a flat face 15 with mirror lusters or a face of convexes 16 with the minimum contact area, a mesh electrode with a better duplicating property of the dome shape was obtained.
