Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a uniform copy image with high density by mixing a carrier, coated with a low surface energy material around particles of magnetic powder, in a developer. CONSTITUTION:In a developer 4 wherein magnetic powder carriers 10 coated with a low surface energy material are mixed, the lower part of a non-magnetic sleeve 2 having incorporated magnets 1 is dipped and through the rotation of the sleeve 2, the carriers 5 are drawn up together with the developer and stick to the latent image part of the rotating surface of a latent-image forming photosensitive drum 7. In this case, part of the low surface energy material around each carrier is peeled off and its low surface energy effect allows the developer to stick to the latent image part of the photosensitive drum easily while making the developer hard to stick a no-latent-image part. Therefore, a uniform image with high density is obtained.
