Abstract
PURPOSE:To economically manufacture steel by separating reduced iron from a mixture of the iron with a carbonaceous reducing agent and a flux discharged from a reducing furnace with a high temp. separator, pouring the separated reduced iron into a container, and immediately charging it into a steel making furnace. CONSTITUTION:A mixture of reduced iron with a carbonaceous reducig agent and a flux discharged from a reducing furnace 1 is charged into a high temp. separator 2 to separate the reduced iron from the reducing agent and the flux. The separated reduced iron is poured into a container 3 for hot charging and immediately hot charged into an electric furnace 4. Thus, electric power in the furnace 4 is considerably saved.
