Abstract
PURPOSE:To recover effectively radiant heat and also to suppress the radiation of heat from container by absorbing radiant heat from container by charging a solid iron source such as iron scraps into vacant container by which molten pig iron from blast furnace was transported to the next process. CONSTITUTION:The molten pig iron from blast furnace is put in a molten pig iron pan or topeed car, and then it is transported to the next processes of steel making furnace, e.g., mixer, converter, electric furnace, etc. After transporting molten pig iron to the nex process, the vacant container is charged with a solid iron source, e.g., iron scraps, pig, lathe powder, etc. Temperature is risen by absorbing radiant heat from the container in the solid iron source and then molten pig iron is poured onto it for dissolution. Thus, the radiation of heat from the container can be prevented and also the heat can be effectively recovered by absorbing in the solid iron source.
