At this time, by specifying the heating temp. for the melt reduction to 1001- 1400 deg.C, metallic lead is separated from molten slag and precipitated in a short time, resulting in high lead recovery eficiency. At temps below 100/ deg.C, enough separation of metallic lead from molten slag does not proceed proceed even if they are allowed to stand over a long time. At temps. above 1400 deg.C, the recovery efficiency is hardly enhanced, and hence electric power and time for heating are wasted.
