PURPOSE:To obtain a toner which does not cause cohesion of toners to each other and offset phenomena, and has good fluidity and excellent pressure fixability by coating a core material contg. a coloring agent and a pressure fixable material thinly with crosslinked and grafted polyolefin. CONSTITUTION:As a core material, a resin such as PE, a metallic complex dye, a pigment such as carbon black, and in the case of a magnetic toner, magnetic powder are thoroughly mixed, and the mixture is melted and kneaded, after which it is cooled, ground and classified, whereby particles are prepd. On the other hand, a silane coupling agent such as vinyl triethoxy silane or the like and a free radical generating agent are mixed with a polyolefinic (co)polymer and the mixture is kneaded and is heated to react, whereby silane-grafted paraffin is prepd. a xylene soln. prepd. by dissolving 30wts. grafted paraffine in 100wts. said classified particles is sprayed and is dried to coat the particles, after which these are allowed to crosslink and react in warm water, and are dried, whereby the pressure fixing toner is prepd. such toner has excellent fluidity and low pressure fixability. Particularly it has stable performance at high temps. and humidity.
