Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify maximum cooling/heating operation, by providing a maximum cooling/heating operation button separately from a temperature setting lever to put an air conditioner in the maximum cooling/heating mode only by operating the button, and by automatically shifting the air conditioner back under the control of the lever when the mode is terminated. CONSTITUTION:A maximum cooling/heating operation button 12 is provided on a front panel 10 and connected between a slide rheostat 15 and the common contact (d) of a relay 100 of a temperature control circuit. When the button 12 is pressed as a temperature setting lever 11 is left as it is, the common contact (d) of the relay 100 is connected to a changeover contace (e) to actuate a three-way valve 26 to place a piston 28 in the moximum heating position if an air conditining switch is off. At that time, the piston 28 is placed in the maximum cooling position if the air conditioning switch is on. When the operation button 12 is released temperature control is effected again as the temperature setting lever 11 remains in the already set position. According to this constitution, the temperature setting lever 11 does not need to be set again for an optimal temperature when the maximum cooling/heating mode is terminated.
