Abstract

PURPOSE: To continue safe driving even under failure of a crank angle sensor by detecting a failure of a crank angle sensor and by detecting a rotary speed with a signal corresponding to a rotary speed of an injection timing signal, an ignition timing signal in emergency.
CONSTITUTION: A unit pulse IS3 which a crank angle sensor 101 outputs is converted into waveform shaping 102 and frequency/voltage conversion, thereby obtaining a voltage Vc in proportion to a rotary speed. An injection start signal IS7 that a lift sensor 104 outputs is processed as described above, thereby obtaining a voltage VI these voltages Vc and VI are compared by a compare unit 107.
