Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the function of arithmetic processing by generating an interruption signal when the ON or OFF state of a switch lasting for a certain time is inverted.
CONSTITUTION: In an automatic controller which exercises effective control over an internal combustion engine, capacitor C1 is charged by voltage V1 via resistance R3 with throttle-full-closing switch SW1 ON to increase gradually across voltage V2 of capacitor C1 and when voltage V2 exceeds reference voltage V3, output voltage V4 of comparator COM1 is held at a high level. With switch SW1 OFF, capacitor C1 is discharged by way of diode D1 and resistance R2 to decrease voltage V4 rapidly according to voltage V2. Consequently, when the ON or OFF state of switch SW1 continuing for a certain time is inverted, an interruption signal is generated, so that the function of arithmetic processing can be improved without genrating any unneeded interruption.
