Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the switching noise, by connecting the two contacts of a relay to both recording and reproducing circuits, switching the above-mentioned relay with the delayed recording/reproducing changeover control signal and at the same time actuating a sound reducing device. CONSTITUTION:At least one side of a magnetic head 4 is always earthed, and the switching time control signal (b) is set at a high level of potential in the reproduction mode. Then a transistor TRT1 of a sound reducing device 3 is turned on to eliminate the output signal. On the other hand, the control signal (a) is set at a low level of potential and a TRT2 is turned on with the charged voltage of a capacitor C1 of a delaying circuit 7 to hold a relay 2 at the recording side. The relay 2 is then switched to the reproducing side. The signal (a) is set at a high level of potential in the recording mode, and the TRT1 is turned on via a differentiating circuit 8 to eliminate the output signal. At the same time, the TRT2 is turned on via the circuit 7 to switch the relay 2. In such way, the constitution is simplified for a switching circuit to reduce the switching noise.
