Abstract

PURPOSE:To stabilize the level and phase of a control signal by forming an equivalent feeding path including a control head in a normal direction and in the opposite direction in response to a control signal in recording and that in reproduction. CONSTITUTION:When a head recording and reproducing circuit 10 is in recording mode, high-level signals are supplied to a mode changeover signal input terminal REC43 and the input terminal REC of the mode switching circuit 68 of an amplifying circuit 25 for reproduction to turn off transistors (TR)66 and 67, disconnecting the circuit 25 from a control head 24. While a control pulse supplied to a recording signal input terminal 44 is at a high level, the TRs 33 and 37 of an opening-closing control circuit 23 turn off, and the TRs 29 and 41 turn off, so that a current determined by the head 24 and a resistance flows to the 1st series circuit. While the control pulse is at a low level, the TRs 29 and 41 turn on and the Trs 33 and 37 turn off, so that a current determined by the head 24 and resistance 42 flows to the 2nd series circuit.
