Abstract
PURPOSE:To accurately detect the position and the degree of a discharge in a stator slot by mounting a discharge detecting element which detects the discharge in the stator slot on the outer periphery of a rotor and mounting a reference point source on the inner periphery of the stator oppositely to the discharge detecting element. CONSTITUTION:A discharge detecting element 6 for detecting a discharge in a stator slot 1a is mounted on the outer periphery of a rotor 5 to face with the stator. Further, a calibration point source 13 which produces a reference signal is mounted on the inner periphery of a stator core 1 to face with the element 6, and the output of the element 6 is externally produced. In this manner, the discharging position and its degree can be accurately detected by measuring the time difference C between a detection signal H3 for a discharge in the slot and the reference signal H2, and peak value difference D.
