Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate the jam recovery operation, by displaying the number of originals, of which the copy is required, out of originals fed from an original automtic feeding device when the interrupt mode occurs. CONSTITUTION:A controlling part 62 of a copying device is provided with a counter 60 for the number of originals requiring reset, a driving circuit 61, and a display equipment for the number of originals requiring reset. The counter 60 is reset by the transfer paper feed start signal from the controlling part 62 and is counted up by an original exchange signal and is counted down by an ejection end signal for the last copy. Consequently, the value of the counter 60 indicates always the advanced number of originals, and the circuit 61 drives the display equipment 55 in accordance with the value of the counter 60. When all of the copying machine is stopped because of the occurrence of a jam, the operator watches contents of the display equipment 55 to set the original, of which the copy is required, and copies it, thus facilitating the jam recovery.
