Abstract

PURPOSE:To automate kand facilitate an awning pulling-up operation by a method wherein a rotating disk is fitted to a movable base plate moving forwards and backwards along the enclosure of the rear body of a motor truck, awning stays provided at the rear end of an awning are fixed to the disk, and the awning stays are rotated by rotating the disk. CONSTITUTION:Rails 3 are fitted to rail-fitting pillars 2 which are erected on the enclosure 1 of the rear body. A wheel 6 is fitted to a lower part of each awning stay 5 for the awning 4, and the stay 5 is supported on the rail 3 to be capable of moving forwards and backwards through the wheel 6. The awning stays 5 at the rear end of the awning 4 are supported by the movable base plate 7 which can be moved forwards and backwards along the rails 3 through the wheels 8. The rotating disk 9 is fitted at the outside of the base plate 7 and is provided with a pinion 10 at a part thereof. The pinion 10 is engaged with a rack 11 fixed to a rear part of the rail 3. The awning stays 13 at the rear part of the awning 4 are rotatably supported by the base plate 7, and the awning stay 13 at the rear end is fixed to the disk 9. The base plate 7 is fixed to an annular chain 15, and the base plate 7 is moved forwards and backwards by driving the chain 15.
