1530699 Sun shields; luggage carriers L D HRYTZAK & C J FORWARD 8 Oct 1976 42055/76 Heading B7J A sun shield (and/or luggage carrier) has drive means 10 to move members 5, 6, Fig. 1, supporting the screening material, into extended positions outwardly from a planar rectangular framework attachable by legs to a vehicle roof. The drive means may be an electric motor, a manually driven rack and pinion or a chain wheel system moved by a ratchetting handle. The screening material, e.g. nylon may be retractable on to a storage reel.
