Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the dimensional irregularities taking place at the time of completion of the assembly of the titled heat exchanger and to simplify the assembling the heat exchanger by a method wherein in the case of the heat exchanger comprising a box having multi-staged heat exchanging plates arranged therein, a plurality of divided boxes are connected to one another in such a manner that the heat exchanging plates of one of the boxes are interposed among those of the other boxes. CONSTITUTION:The divided boxes 1 and 2 are connected to each other in such a manner that the heat exchanging plates 9 in the box 1 are interposed among the heat exchange plates 10 of the box 2 to thereby form a square box 15. In this case, the box 15 is divided to provide a primary fluid passage 16 and a secondary fluid passage 17 through the first and second heat exchanging plates 9 and 10 and as a consequence, a primary fluid entering the primary fluid passage 16 from a fluid inlet 13 flows outside the box through an outlet 11 while a secondary fluid enters the secondary fluid passage 17 from an inlet 14 and flows outside the box through an outlet 12. Thus, with the above structure, the primary and the secondary fluids exchange heat with each other through the first and second heat exchange plates 9 and 10.
