Abstract

PURPOSE:To enhance the cooling capabilities during idle running under high cooling loads by providing a means to control the operations of an actuator by means of signals in response to cooling loads of an air conditioner on a negative pressure control passage of the actuator for a throttle valve of an engine. CONSTITUTION:When the cooling loads are increased as the atmospheric temperature rises, the resistance of an atmosphere sensor 17 is reduced, an output cool signal is generated from a temperature controller 20, the negative pressure side coil 23a of a double vacuum valve 23 is energized, an output port 44 and a negative pressure port 43 are connected each other so that a negative pressure is applied from a vacuum tank 25, a power servo 24 is moved downward, and the resistance of a potentiometer 18 is increased by means of its movable contact 24b. Therefore, the output of the controller 20 is turned off, the power servo 24 and an air mix damper 14 are fixed, the air flow bypassing a heat exchanger 15 is increased, and the temperature in the vehicle 12 is lowered. Since a negative pressure chamber 40c of an actuator 40 and the power servo 24 are under control by the same negative pressure, the stroke of the actuator 40 is also increased and the number of idle revolutions is increased.
