Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the recording material in the title which can give a stable clear picture having high contrast, by forming two heat sensitive coloring layers which are colored at different temperatures on a supporting body, and adding a specified discoloring assistant on said upper layer or between the layers. CONSTITUTION:For example, a leuco dye with no color or hypochromic color (e.g. Crystal Violet lactone or the like), an acidic material (e.g. bisphenol A or the like), a discoloring agent (e.g. a material wherein ethylene oxide is added to bisphenol A), and the discoloring assistant (e.g. N-stearyl benzamide or the like) in formulasI-V (where R1 and R3 are alkyl of C10-30; R2 and R6 are alkyl of C1-30; R4 and R5 are H or low grade alkyl; R7, R8, and R12 are H, halogen, low grade alkyl, or the like; R9 and R10 are alkyl of C1-30 or phenyl; and n=0.1) are prepared and a low temperature heat sensitive coloring layer forming liquid is obtained. It is applied and dried on the supporting body on which a conventionally well known, high temperature heat sensitive coloring layer forming liquid is applied and dried.
