Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the quality of printed characters in a recorder having a plurality of recording sections by providing means for generating position clock signal synchronized with the rotation of conveyor rollers with either one of paper conveyors. CONSTITUTION:A conveyor roller 108 is rotated by the rotation of a drive motor 150 mounted on a roller 109. When a clutch 152 is engaged, the rotation of the motor 150 is transmitted through a pulley 153, a belt 154, a pulley 155 and the clutch 152 to a resist roller 104, thereby rotating the roller 104. Further, it rotates other recording sections via pulleys and belts, not shown. A position clock signal synchronized with the rotation of a roller 109 is produced from a rotary encoder 151 mounted at the other end of the roller 109, thereby controlling the driving timing of respective recording heads.
