Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent loss of communication time and defective development, such as uneven development or fog, by synchronizing drive of the rotary elements of a developing unit and rollers.
CONSTITUTION: Pulleys 13W16 are fixed to each drive roller shaft of feed roller pairs 4, 6, 12 and the drive shaft of magnet roller 8 of developing unit 7, and endless belt 19 is stretched around pulleys 13W16, idle pulley 17, and drive pulley 18. Drive pulley 18 is connected with motor 20, such as a stepping motor and rotates clockwise. Diameters of pulleys 13W15 are made equal to each other so as to render the peripheral speed of each feed roller pair equal to each other, and the diameter of pulley 16 is set so as to make the peripheral speed of magnet roller 8, for example, 1.5W5 times as much as the moving speed of recording paper, thus permitting loss time to be saved, and density deterioration, reliability lowering, or the like to be prevented.
