Abstract

PURPOSE: To convey developer in the sleeve axis direction through the utilization of the rotation of the sleeve itself by providing developer conveying guide plates on the outside of the non-magnetic material sleeve or in proximity thereto with an inclination to the axis of a magnetic roller.
CONSTITUTION: NS magnetic poles are so disposed as to subsequently become of opposite polarities in the circumferential direction of a magnetic roller 7 and a sleeve 8 of non-magnetic material is provided so as to encircle this. When the magnetic roller 7 and sleeve 8 rotate relatively, the developer is conveyed on the sleeve, thus forming a magnetic brush. Since developer conveying guide plates 9 are provided with an inclination to the magnetic roller axis 10 on the outside of the sleeve 8, the developer revolves while rotating along the guide plates 9 like the arrow B and is thereby conveyed.
