Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the quality of printed characters in a recorder having a plurality of recording sections by providing means for generating a position clock signal synchronized with the rotation of conveyor rollers with respective paper conveyors. CONSTITUTION:A conveyor roller 108 is rotated by the rotation of a drive motor 150 mounted on a roller 109. When a clutch 152 is engaged, the rotation of the motor 150 is transmitted through a pulley 153, a belt 154, a pulley 155 and the clutch 152 to a resist roller 104, thereby rotating the roller 104. Further, it rotates other recording sections via pulleys and belts, not shown. Position clock signals synchronized with the rotations of a roller 109 and corresponding rollers of other recording sections are produced from rotary encoders 141 mounted at the roller 109 and at the corresponding rollers of the other recording sections, thereby controlling the driving timings of respective recording heads.
